Starting Your Wellness Journey: A Coach's Perspective

What life and wellness coaching actually looks like — and how to know if you are ready to begin.

One of the questions I hear most often is: "How do I know if I am ready for coaching?" The answer is simpler than you might think. You are ready when you have a genuine desire to change — not because someone else wants you to, but because you feel called to something more. At Love and Wellness, our philosophy is rooted in this principle. We work with individuals who are self-motivated, not those who feel coerced. This is why we do not engage with the judicial system or accept mandated referrals. Healing that lasts cannot be imposed from the outside. It must be chosen. So what does coaching actually look like? It is a collaborative partnership. Together, we identify the root causes of what is holding you back — not just the symptoms. We look at the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. And we build a path forward that is sustainable, not a quick fix. Some clients come with a clear goal — a career transition, a health milestone, a relationship shift. Others arrive with something harder to name: a sense of being stuck, a feeling that life should feel different than it does. Both are valid. Both are welcome. The work is not always easy. It asks for honesty, vulnerability, and a willingness to sit with discomfort. But it is also deeply rewarding. There is nothing quite like watching someone reconnect with their own strength and begin to live from it. If you have been waiting for a sign, consider this one. Reach out. We will take the first step together.
